About The Venue

NBC Camps are open to boys and girls aged 11-18.  Occasionally we will make an exception for 10 year olds.  Our two weeks of NBC UK Basketball Camps in the UK  are held at Uppingham School in the Midlands. The town of Uppingham has excellent access from all over the UK and is a perfect safe location to hold an NBC Camp.

About the campus

Located in the heart of rural England, Uppingham School is a beautiful setting for camp. Campers will be staying in modern residential dormitory style rooms. Rooms vary from single, twin and triple with nearby bathroom facilities.

When you register for camp, you can select a single room or if you have a preferred roommate(s) with you and we will endeavour to room you together. If you have no preference, we will match you with someone of the same gender and similar age. The cafeteria and food service provides nutritious meals, with an all-you-can-eat breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet.

Go ahead and park at the Sports Centre car park and walk to the Western Quad where you will be met by NBC staff.

Registration on Saturday for Speed Explosion is 9am.

This allows for you to get to our camp in plenty of time.

At registration, we will allocate you a room and give you a brief orientation of the campus.  We operate a cashless system at camp so you can deposit any cash into our ‘virtual bank’ and anything you buy at camp will be deducted from this amount.  Anything remaining at the end of the week will be returned to you.

As a guide, an average spend per week is around £40 including a team photo, extra pizza and snacks and something from the camp store.

The venue of our camp is Uppingham School, Uppingham, Rutland, Leicestershire, LE15 9Q

Parents are welcome to attend any aspect of camp. We would particularly like to encourage parents join us for the Tournament finals and closing Award Ceremony on the final day at camp. As we understand that many parents will be travelling to Uppingham from various parts of the country we would like to offer the option to join us for lunch on the last day. This will give you a great opportunity to get a feel for the experience your child has had this week.  Games typically run from 12-3pm with our closing ceremony beginning at 3pm.  Lunch is between 12 and 1pm for parents – you may not be able to have lunch with your son/daughter dependent on their games schedule!  Please enquire about purchasing a lunch voucher – £10. They will need to be pre-booked and will be issued at registration.

Campers will need to make their own way to the camp. Travel connections are great!
